This began as simple middle American landscape concept. I later began to develop the landscape into something more alien, from there I decided I wanted to tell more of a story with the concept and explore a few ideas. I then added the insect creature, which looked cool, but needed a purpose, so I then added a probe that perhaps might have fallen from the sky; and now the insect creature has a purpose to be in the frame. Finally i added a second insect flying into the scene to suggest these creatures were coming to investigate. The over all painting took around 2 hours.
